Trial Lawyers Love Teague
Ah yes, the trial lawyers love Harry Teague. So, far the trial lawyer lobby, the so-called American Association for Justice, has given Harry $10,000 in campaign contributions (www.opensecrets.org).
Why does this matter? It matters if you want to see businesses, both large and small, grow and create jobs. It matters if you don’t like to see good doctors run out of New Mexico due to frivolous lawsuits.

1. The American Association for Justice is a trial lawyer lobby that supports no tort reform or caps on frivolous lawsuits against small business, doctors and etc;
2. The American Association for Justice is a member organization of ‘Working For Us’ which is a committee of organizations who seek to keep the Democratic Party under left-wing control. Working For Us was created in 2007 by Andrew Stern, the ultra left-wing former head of the Service Employees International Union. They are committed to holding “Democrats electorally accountable on economic and community security issues and to elect lawmakers who support a PROGRESSIVE political agenda”. The executive director of Working For Us is Steve Rosenthal who is co-founder of America Coming Together which is one of George Soros’s affiliated get-out-the-vote groups;
3. The American Association for Justice has lead the effort AGAINST medical malpractice lawsuit reform. Their own website states that medical malpractice lawsuits “…lead to safer drugs and a health care system that’s accountable to the people”. http://www.atla.org/pressroom/FACTS/health/index.aspx;
4. The American Association for Justice has an anti-business/anti-jobs agenda and has repeatedly pushed for higher taxes and more big government regulations on drug makers, oil companies, small businesses, toy makers and etc. According to Forbes magazine, frivolous lawsuits cost American businesses $200 BILLION per year;
5. The American Association for Justice has helped push a radical, left-wing agenda in Congress including fighting for Obamacare;
6. In 1986, the American Association for Justice established the Civil Justice Foundation which awards grants to so-called ‘grassroots’ consumer advocacy groups. The CJF has given over $1 million to over 100 organizations that use frivolous lawsuits to force stricter government regulations;
7. The American Association of Justice has a PAC that gives out millions in campaign contributions to the most radical leftists in Congress. Many of their beneficiaries are members of the openly socialist Progressive Caucus;
You can judge a man by the company he keeps. We here at Teague Watch have already shown his connections to the union bosses, Speaker Pelosi, the Progressive Caucus and etc. Now we are adding the left-wing trial lawyers. Harry’s friends just seem to keep getting worse and worse for New Mexico.
We can’t afford another two years of Harry Teague.
